At LCBC, we believe in the teachings that the Bible tells us have been embraced by followers of Christ since the beginning of the Church. We believe that, "The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy" (Baptist Faith and Message 2000), and the source of our doctrine and world view.

In this ever-changing world, we stand on the truth of God's Word regarding the issues of our day. We believe, for example, that there is absolute Truth, not simply "your truth"; that all innocent human life must be protected, whether from abortion, abuse, human trafficking, euthanasia, or other threats; and that, in the words of Genesis 1:27, "God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." We hold to these truths of Scripture not to make a point of opposing others' views, but of affirming what the Bible teaches us as true.
